英国BurKard Tullgren土壤动物分离漏斗已经在全世界使用了超过50年时间，是采用干式或湿式将土壤生物从土壤样品中分离出来的仪器设备。

工作原理：将土壤或干草样品放在漏斗可移动的上半部分。灯的热度和光线为土壤样品创造一个大约14℃的温度梯度。这就刺激节肢动物和其他的生物体向下运动，穿过薄纱到达漏斗底部的收集槽中。灯的位置可以调节，使土壤的温度逐渐上升，从而防止这些慢速运动的生物在干硬的土壤块中被困住。过滤网周围有通风口以防止土壤样本变硬板结。如果要采用湿式采集，则将漏斗灌满水，将薄纱放好，线虫类或其它会游泳的生物收集在漏斗的底部，可以间隔一定时间，将底部抽出来（这种方法适合收集黄金线虫），有没有灯都可以。
